This week's home assignment is to make a practice place at home. I have yet to make mine - I know exactly where I want my spiritual practice space, I just have to get it all set up (tomorrow, hopefully). Doing home practices have been a savior. Going at my pace is what my body needed. Come tomorrow I will be back in the studio for the next 6 days....hopefully, we'll see what kind of signals my body is giving me.
Madonna practices yoga! Madonna practices ashtanga vinyasa yoga, a style that focuses on the breath as well as the standard series of postures. She practiced hatha yoga in earlier years and while she was pregnant, but switched to ashtanga and now practices daily.
Her concert had a great message. YOU are powerful, YOU'VE got to decide, the time is RIGHT NOW!.
Yoga, an ancient but perfect science, deals with the evolution of humanity. This evolution includes all aspects of one's being, from bodily health to self realization. Yoga means union - the union of body with consciousness and consciousness with the soul. Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day to day life and endows skill in the performance of one's actions.
